The comprehensive database that will be created with the support of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation is in the early stages of development and will likely not be available until 2009. In the meantime, however, we will occasionally post data sets that we have collected or developed, and documents that we believe are of particular importance to Southwestern students and scholars.  The documents posted will consist of unpublished materials that provide important information relevant to the recent and ancient history of Chaco Canyon and Aztec Ruins National Monument.  By in large these texts will focus on the five sites selected by the CDI steering committee:  Pueblo Bonito, Bc 50, Bc 51, Bc 53, and Aztec Ruins.

Ultimately, many of these documents will be integrated into a query driven database currently in development.  In the meantime, we will make documents available - scanned in their original form.  If you would like to join our email list for periodic updates as we release new texts, please contact us with the word “subscribe” in the subject field at chaco@virginia.edu.
