This page allows you to view aerial images within and around Chaco Canyon.  Taken in 1963 as part of the Limbaugh Aerial Survey, these images were requested by Gordon Vivian as part of his irrigation/agriculture study.  Due to the focus on finding/identifying agricultural features, many of these aerial images show the area around a site, but may not include the site itself.

  • Click on the “+” sign on the left side of the map to zoom-in and see the images.
  • Click “Toggle Sites” to turn site markers on or off.
  • Click the “Back to Explore!” button to return to the main Explore page.
