1Historic Pueblo Wares were not always identified by type in the field, but when possible were broken down into Keresan, Zuni and Hopi wares (See Appendix 4.2). The wares were not differentiated in the computer analysis.
*As the result of recent excavations, Dinetah Gray (A.D. 1550-1800) and Gobernador Polychrome (A.D. 1640-1765 or 1775) are known to have been produced substantially earlier in the Dinetah area of the northern San Juan Basin (see Dykeman et al 2003) than was thought when this chapter was prepared.
